How to Understand Your Skin Tone

The first step to blush selection is identifying your skin tone. Look at your bare face in natural light. Are you fair, light, medium, deep, or rich? Do you have cool, warm, or neutral undertones?

Fair Skin:

Fair skin benefits from soft, subtle blush shades that won't overwhelm your delicate features. Choose for cool-toned pinks like baby pink, rose, or mauve to enhance your natural rosy glow. If you have warm undertones, try a peachy pink or a soft coral for a hint of warmth and a natural flush. We love Huephoric Rush in shade Pleasured for you.

Light Skin:

Light skin offers more flexibility in blush color selection. You can still wear soft pinks like fair skin tones, but can also explore cooler pinks with a hint of berry or plum. For a touch of warmth, choose peach, apricot, or soft coral shades. Try Huephoric Rush shade Hypnotized

Medium Skin:

Medium skin tones have the widest range of blush options. Play with cool-toned pinks like mauve or plum, or explore warm shades like peach, coral, or rose. If you have olive undertones, stay away from overly cool or ashy pinks, which can make you look grey-ish. Instead, choose rosier pinks, warm corals, or even a touch of bronze blush. Huephoric Rush in shade Intoxicated and Addicted are perfection for this.

Deep Skin:

Deep skin tones can wear bold and vibrant blush colors. Rich pinks, berries, plums, and even deep reds will add a beautiful pop of color to your face. Experiment with both cool and warm tones to see what flatters you most. If you have warm undertones, consider a reddish-brown blush for a gorgeous sun-kissed look. Huephoric Rush in shades Touched or Energized are stunning

Tips on Applying Your Cream Blush

Now that you’ve discovered your perfect cream blush (or a few of them), here are some fun and simple ways to make the most of a truly unique formula.

  1. The finish you achieve is very much dependent on the tool you use. Apply blush with your fingertips for a skin-like effect, our M201 Round Cream & Liquid Blush Brush for more pigment and coverage, or our Mini Cloud Cushion Puff for a lightweight hand but so-pretty flush.
  2. That said, it’s all about the build. Use a little bit of product first, adding more as you go for the ultimate personalized result.
  3. Blend your blush upwards for the ultimate snatched upswept look.
  4. You can have fun with different textures and finishes in the same look. Apply cream blush over your foundation, then tap on a powder blush in the same or complimentary shade as your finishing touch.

We at Morphe believe in absolute artistry. Experiment with different blush colors and finishes to find what matches your mood for today. And we get it...that can change by the hour.
